Return Policy – ScaleDuty

 

1. Right of withdrawal (EU customers)  
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your item, without giving any reason.

After notifying us, you have an additional 14 days to return the product.

2. Eligibility for returns  
To be eligible for a return, your item must:

- Be unused and only handled as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning  
- Be complete, including all parts, accessories, manuals, and original packaging  
- Be returned in a condition suitable for resale  

We reserve the right to apply a reduction in value if the product has been used beyond what is necessary for inspection.

3. Build-to-order and custom products (IMPORTANT)  
A large part of our products are assembled, configured, or sourced specifically based on your order.

This includes:
- Configured or customized RC models  
- Assembled or pre-built models  
- Products ordered or sourced specifically for the customer  

These products qualify as custom or made-to-order goods and are therefore excluded from the right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable EU consumer law.

By placing an order for such products, you explicitly agree that your right of withdrawal is waived.

4. Sale and discounted items  
Discounted or sale items are subject to the same return conditions as regular products.

However, if a discounted product qualifies as a custom or build-to-order product, it is excluded from the right of withdrawal as described above.

5. Return process  
To initiate a return, you must contact us at info@scaleduty.com.

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

The shipping costs to return the package is the responsibility of the buyer.

6. Return shipping and risk  
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

The customer bears the risk of return shipment until the product has been received by ScaleDuty.

We strongly recommend insured shipping with track & trace.

7. Inspection and depreciation  
All returned items are inspected upon arrival.

If a product shows:
- signs of use  
- damage  
- missing parts  
- damaged or missing packaging  

we reserve the right to apply a reduction in value proportional to the loss in value, which may be up to 100% of the purchase price if the item can no longer be sold as new.

8. Damaged or incorrect items  
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us within 48 hours if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.

We will evaluate the issue and provide an appropriate solution.

9. Refunds  
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return.

If approved, you will be refunded via your original payment method within 14 days after we receive the returned item or proof that it has been sent.

10. Exclusions  
We do not accept returns for:
- Custom or build-to-order products  
- Gift cards
